  • ABOUT

The community of Lamay -- where Peruvian Hearts feeds hundreds of schoolchildren each day -- has been damaged from flooding. Crops have been destroyed, and homes have collapsed. In the remote village of Pampallacta, where Peruvian Hearts feeds more children, a bridge along the road to the village has been washed out and has left the community isolated.

The immediate needs are getting food and blankets to the families of Pampallacta. Without the bridge, there is no way to get supplies to them except on foot. Once an access route has been established, food and blankets can be delivered. The community of Lamay has similar needs, as families have been displaced and -- with entire crops destroyed -- a food shortage could pose further problems.
GVN has launched an appeal to enable Peruvian Hearts to provide relief to the surrounding communities. If you would like to make a donation please visit www.gvnfundraising.org/cause/emergency_peru

100% of the proceeds will go to Peruvian communities in need.
